Description: This image is from an original 18” x 24” oil painting on canvas,
produced in 2019 in my studio almost strictly from my imagination. I say “almost  strictly” since I did look at my western hat to be able to paint the hat which “Frosty” is happily modeling.  I could have painted a more traditional black top hat but since I live in Texas I thought this might be more interesting. This is the first of a series of images I will be creating for Christmas cards.

 Inspiration: my love of this very special holiday. In this work of art, I have combined a religious image with a nostalgic one.
The celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ has and always will be the focus of why many of us celebrate Christmas.
It is through our faith in Him that we can experience a sense of inner peace, joy, and love that is priceless,
even in times of adversity. Like the saying goes: “Jesus is the reason for the Season”.
I can, however, also understand why images such as Frosty the Snowman have come to hold such a special place in our hearts.
In their own magical way, these images serve to add to the very festive atmosphere of this beautiful time of year,
especially for the young and the young at heart.

Medium:  Printed Image which I have personally embellished with shimmering glitter paint and a very fine paint brush.  The glitter has been carefully brushed over only certain areas of the image to accent those areas.
Each card is unique since I have added this special touch to each one.
