Inspiration: This is a houseplant that I once owned and which was a joy to grow.  I loved everything about it except the pot, it was the right shape but not the right color.  I decided to make it the same color as the flowers, a glorious red.  I tried to make the background and table as simple as possible to really draw the eyes to the red flowers and pot. This painting was completed using at least fifty percent imagination.
